Our popular cycle workshop is now based in our garage space in Grove Park. We have extended our third Sunday of the month session as a “Fix and Ride” service similar to the Mend and Ride service we previously offered in the Deptford workshop.
Grove Park’s “Fix and Ride” is our “reconstructed” Lewisham Cyclists’ cycle maintenance project. It runs out of a small workshop space with a good selection of tools and advice available from our volunteers plus a qualified bike mechanic. Please be aware we don’t have access to toilets at the Grove Park location.

It is not just a bike repair shop, it is a space where you can be helped to mend your own bike, getting it back on the road while learning the skills to keep it there. You can be shown how to check your bike and then how to do any necessary repair yourself. While you’re waiting for your turn, you can observe what others are doing, have a cup of tea and a biscuit and a chat.
We have a decent range of tools and a store of spare parts, both new and secondhand. If your bike needs a part we haven’t got, then you can bring it with you to the next workshop, or we can source it for you, and we can help you fit it then. Our decent second-hand parts provide a low cost option too, parts such as tyres, wheels, derailleurs etc which still have a decent amount of wear left in them. Ring beforehand to enquire.
There is no set charge, but we do ask for a donation from those in work, for the help and use of tools, plus we do have to charge for any parts supplied.
