This week will be a riverside jaunt along the northside of the the Thames from Tower Bridge through the Greenwich Foot tunnel (let’s hope the lifts are working) up through Greenwich Park, across Blackheath, a little explore of some of Lewisham’s better offroad cycling infrastructure connecting Deptford, New Cross and South Bermondsey. (I am a Lewisham cyclist after all!) Perhaps we will also take a little look at the Connect 2 Bridge that cost so much time and energy and still doesn’t deliver all it should. Work to do, as someone, fondly remembered by many of us, used to say. Then through Rotherhithe up to the Angel, Bermondsey Wall, where those who wish to can down a swift tipple before heading home, while also drinking in one of the best Thames side views in London.
