Lewisham Cyclists’ members have been asking what’s happening to the Lewisham section of Cycleway 4 (C4) now that the Rotherhithe to Tower Bridge route is open. Catford Stations area cycling improvements – your opportunity to influence these exciting plans

As part of the broader Catford Framework Lewisham Council are proposing extensive public realm improvements to the area around the Catford stations. We’ve recently compiled a map showing cycling infrastructure improvements in Lewisham that we will be campaigning for in 2021. Planned CPZ expansion in Lewisham

Lewisham Council are planning to accelerate their Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) deployments across the borough. We very much welcome these plans as uncontrolled parking is blighting many areas of the borough. Pavement parking, abandoned vehicles and blocked accesses are currently a major issue for pedestrians and people on bicycles alike. Catford and the South Circular

Sadly, yet another person has been seriously injured on the stretch of the South Circular Rd that runs through Catford Town Centre. At the beginning of June we received a very positive response to our letter to the Lewisham Mayor regarding the construction of a permanent bi-directional cycle lane on Deptford Church Street (part of the proposed Lewisham Spine via the A21) after the completion of the Thames Tideway works in 2021.
